On a third consecutive night, Irish police encountered an onslaught of projectiles and pyrotechnics within the capital city.

Hundreds of protesters gathered close to the gate of a facility housing individuals seeking refuge in a westside area of the city.

This marks the latest night of protests at the location following an alleged sexual assault involving a 10-year-old girl in the vicinity of the hotel in the early hours on the start of the week.

A man in his twenties, whose identity cannot be disclosed due to legal restrictions in such cases, appeared in the judicial system on the following day facing allegations in connection with the reported occurrence.

Multiple arrests were made during the serious disorder on Tuesday night, and the Irish police service pledged a “firm reaction” if the violence continued.

Between the early evening hours on Wednesday, hundreds of protesters once more confronted approximately 40 uniformed officers.

The first personnel were substituted by the public order unit equipped with protective gear and additional armor after being struck from various thrown objects.

A number of protesters persisted to hurl masonry, flares, glass bottles, and wooden planks at the police members.

Vandalism also took place around the nearby transit station, which runs parallel to the road occupied by the protesters.

Specialized units pushed the assembly further from the hotel by moving forward with their protective barriers.

A horse patrol and a canine team were deployed at the scene, with a police helicopter offering overhead surveillance.

One officer was affected by pepper spray, and those involved in the chaos also attempted to block law enforcement cars using steel barriers.

While the initial demonstration ended without major incident, a woman in the force was hurt during Tuesday’s violence and later released from hospital after treatment for a injury to her foot.

A police vehicle was also ignited during the earlier disturbances in the week.

The senior officer, who inspected the scene after the events, stated on that day that he was “determined” to see further individuals brought before the courts to answer for their actions.

He described the situation as far from calm and noted, “This was aggression with the intent to damage the structure and intimidate those within.”

The head of government condemned the acts of violence, asserting there could be “no justification” for assaults on officers.

Protesters were observed waving symbols, shouting anti-immigration slogans, and throwing missiles.

There were also attempts to advance on the officer formation using horse-drawn carts and scrambler bikes on that day, and a police helicopter overhead was targeted with lasers.
